New In: Ilia Beauty & Kjaer Weis

There have been a few natural brands I’ve been wanting to try and after searching high and low for Ilia products in the UK I stumbled upon a website that sold their products as well as other natural beauty brands. After selecting a few Ilia products I got SO excited to see Kjaer Weis products as well because I’ve been seeing them all over my Instagram feed and that packaging is to die for. I haven’t had a chance to try these products long enough to warrant a full review, so this is more of a “haul” blogpost than a review. I will keep you updated on what I think of everything!

Kjaer Weis is a makeup brand created by Kirsten Kjaer Weis, who was born in Denmark, but is now based in New York. Kirsten wanted to create a range of products with high quality natural/organic ingredients that didn’t compromise on design. I don’t think I’ve ever seen better luxury packaging. Not only is it modern and cool, but all of the products are designed to be refillable.

I knew I wanted to buy one of the Cream Blushes so I went for the shade ‘Blossoming’, which looks like a natural pink that would give a fresh, dewy look to the skin. The cream blushes are 95% organic with Jojoba Seed Oil and Beeswax to nourish the skin. I also went for a Lip Tint in the shade ‘Romance’ because it looked so bright and gorgeous! Kirsten says on her website that she was inspired to create this shade after watching early colour films *swoon*.

Ilia’s products are filled with up to 85% organic ingredients, to nourish the skin. Illia was founded by Sarah Plavsic and was first launched in Vancouver, Canada (Canada represent!) in 2011, but is now based in LA. The products are packaged in gorgeous, slim aluminium cases that are sturdy, yet lightweight. I think of Ilia as a brand of gorgeous makeup that also happens to be natural and organic. No need to sacrifice on trends/colours/shades to have great ingredients! I went for the Lip Exfoliator as well as the Lip Conditioner, a Lipstick Crayon in Karma Chameleon and a Lip Gloss in The Butterfly and I.
